What is an Exercise Physiologist?

Exercise Physiology is an allied health profession which uses exercise to prevent, rehabilitate and treat injuries, illnesses and chronic conditions.

Exercise Physiologists assist in improving mobility and functionality to enhance an individual’s quality of life, but can also aid healthy populations. They specialise in aerobic and resistance exercise, as well as stretching and balance training, which has shown to be effective on cardiovascular and metabolic health in the management of many chronic conditions.

Our university qualified and accredited Exercise Physiologists provide support and education for people with many chronic conditions including (but not limited to) those with any metabolic, cardiovascular, cardio pulmonary conditions.
