FAQ – Be Active 12 Week Challenge  

Q. What is the Be Active 12 Week Challenge? 

From February 5th 2018 you'll embark on a 12 week journey to achieve your body transformation goals. The Challenge involves 12 weeks of commitment to your health and fitness. You will workout with one of our qualified Personal Trainers and will have your progress tracked and adapted to receive the best results.

Q. Who can enter this promotion?

Anyone over the age of 18 who is a Full Member of the Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre.

Q. What level of fitness do I need to enter? 

The challenge is open and tailored to accommodate all fitness levels.

Q. What do I receive when I register?

In the 12-week challenge you will receive;

  • Support and guidance from your Personal Trainer or Coach to educate you about fitness and nutrition plus keep you motivated to help you achieve your personal goals whether it be weight loss, fitness or strength and tone.
  • 12 Weeks of Healthy Eating Plans 
  • Nutrition/training diary 
  • Be Active branded singlet 
  • MyZone MZ lite heart rate belt (RRP $99)
  • Nutrition seminars 
  • Weekly group training sessions 
  • A range of group fitness classes to choose from 
  • Be Active support app 
  • Progressive check in sessions 
  • Entry into the club and national prize pool

Q. What are the prizes that I could win?

  • Weekly Club Prize: 1 month Club membership (12 in total)
  • Club Prize: A 6 month club membership for each male and female club winner (2  prizes in total)
  • National Prize - Winners: $1,500 for each of the national male and female winners ($3,000 in total) 
  • National Prize - Runners up: $300 for each of the national male and female runners up ($600 in total)

Q. How many sessions with a trainer will I receive? 

You will participate in 1 x 45 minute Personal Training Session per week over 12 weeks.

Q. Will I need to do any training outside my PT Sessions?

It is recommended that you participate in 2-3 workouts per week outside of your Personal Training session. A good way to keep active is to participate in some of our group fitness classes such as Boxercise, Fast track, Bar-fit, Bootcamp, Metabolic Pump and Zumba.

Q. What if I miss a PT session?

If you miss a session it will be the responsibility of the participant to make up the workout in their own time to ensure they remain on track to receive the best fitness results. We recommend you try a group fitness class.

Q. When does the Challenge conclude?

The challenge will conclude on Sunday 29th April 2018. On this day you will be required to have final measurements and photos at the club. At this time, you will also need to complete your Post Challenge essay or video submission and submit this to your club management. 

Q. How do I sign up?

Come into the Centre today and speak to our consultants in the Wellness Centre to sign up. If you still think you would like to know more, come along to our information seminar on Monday 22nd of January at 6pm.

To meet new and like-minded challenge participants looking to improve their health and fitness in a fun and social environment. Challenge yourself.

Q. Can I share my progress on social media during the challenge?

We invite you to share your story via social media including the hashtag #beactive12wc. Find out more at your local facility social media pages.
